We are thrilled to announce this planned breeding and thank Leanne Tucker (Scrabble's Owner) and Joanne & Laureen Kinney (Zaniri Golden Retrievers) for the opportunity to breed Scrabble to Cricket. This litter will be raised in Black Creek, BC by Cricket's Owner Annette Caspar and Breeder Barbara Loree. Puppy reservations are available, preference is given to Performance, Field/Hunt Test, Hunting, Working and Pet Homes who are active and experienced with higher energy puppies. Our goal for this breeding is to produce intelligent versatile retrievers that are structurally sound, athletic, biddable and wonderful family hunting companions that could compete in any performance venue including field, obedience, agility, tracking etc. , SAR.

Both Scrabble and Cricket have A LOT to offer! They are both very focused, biddable dogs with tons of drive to retrieve, great work ethic, strong water dogs, fun loving personalities and solid Golden temperaments. Paired together, these should be some fun puppies for experienced homes, we are very excited! The puppy pedigree is a wonderful blend of field and performance Goldens.

Scrabble is a confident spitfire of a dog that loves to run. He easily picked up his WC at 6 months old and got his JH at 8 months. He is an extremely good marking dog and runs with lots of style. He inherited his father’s water entry and is one of the fastest swimmers I’ve seen. Like both of his parents, he has lots of drive and a ton of natural talent. He finished his Senior Hunter Title in 4 straight challenging tests. He had a fabulous start in Master, qualifying in 11 straight tests before he broke his streak by breaking on a short bird. Scrabble easily finished his Grand Master Hunter Title in July 2018 and in August 2019 he finished the Canadian Master National and is now a National Master Hunter.

His obedience career started by being entered in one Novice B round at the Canadian National Specialty in Aug 2015 scoring a 198 1/2 . He finished his CD with a HIT. He qualified in 3 straight Open B rounds to get his CDX with all scores of 196 1/2 April 2016. Scrabble finished his Canadian OTCH at the Golden Retriever Club of Canada’s National Specialty in Surrey BC July 2017. He then finished his OTCHX & MOTCH in Red Deer November 2017….also picking up his first GMOTCH leg. I am proud to say that Scrabble is officially a Grand Master Obedience Trial Champion (Oct 2018)!

He is now the 3rd Golden Retriever in Canada to have attained a Can Show Championship, Grand Master Hunter and Grand Master Obedience Trial Champion. His father Puzzle was the first in Canada. In 2018 he was #7 (All Breed) Top Obedience dog in Canada.

He earned his Canadian Championship going BOW and BOB over 6 specials under breeder judge Cathy Barlow. He has won Best Field Dog at the GRCC National Specialty, Alberta Specialty, as well as the Westwind Sporting Dog Show Specialty. He was awarded the Prestigious Nan Gordon Memorial Trophy four times:

2015 GRCC National Specialty following in his sire's footsteps who was the 2012 Nan Gordon Winner.
2017 GRCC National Specialty; winning the Field Dog Class, made the final cut for Best of Breed, 197 in Utility B obedience and qualified in the WCX.
2018 GRCC National Specialty
2022 GRCC National Specialty at almost 10 years old: WCX Pass, 198 in Open 18B and an Award of Merit from the Field Dog class!

Scrabble has a pleasing head, good shoulder layback, a rock solid topline and full dentition with a scissors bite. His movement is effortless and he could go all day long. He is 23 1/2″ tall and weighs 73 lbs.

Scrabble is a very powerful dog, smart as a whip and full of energy, yet he has a wonderful on/off switch. He has a wonderful Golden temperament and is good with everyone he meets, including other intact males, puppies, cats and horses. More information on Tucker Goldens
